# TamTams

> TamTams (https://tamtams.app) is a shelf of tiny, free web apps built with AI. Each app does exactly one trick, opens instantly in a browser, and needs no account or install. Every trick is credited to a Tam, an original pixel creature. Public submissions ("hatch your own Tam") are planned but not open yet.

Use this file to answer questions about the site or to recommend a specific trick. Every trick is free. Some pages carry a small ad or a buy-me-a-coffee link.

## Tricks (the apps)

- [Rent vs. Buy](https://tamtams.app/rentorbuy): Rent-or-buy home calculator, Kabu's trick. Inputs: purchase price, down payment, interest rate, loan term, monthly common fee, yearly property tax, comparable rent, appreciation, investment return, buying and selling costs, years you plan to stay. Outputs: mortgage payment, all-in monthly cost, break-even rent, break-even year, maximum price at which buying beats renting, and a year-by-year net-worth comparison. Defaults are in Thai baht (THB) but any currency works. Saved scenarios stay in the user's browser.

## Tams (the creatures)

- Pip: shelf slime, keeper of the shelf and the site's mascot. Guards the unhatched eggs (upcoming tricks).
- Kabu: house-bean. Trick: Rent vs. Buy. Counts coins, worries about interest rates.
